Daily Modules

3-day curriculum

Day 1

Introduction to the auto detailing industry and market insights; differentiating a conventional car wash from professional detailing services; overview of the products used by professional detailers, including soaps, maintenance products, removers, and degreasers.

Day 2

Understanding general automotive paint material construction and automotive interior material construction; the steps and precautions for car washing, covering both interior and exterior, for auto detailing.

Day 3

Hands-on practical session: beginner's technical skill in the steps and precautions for "one-step" polishing of a typical automobile front hood; Question & Answer session.

Course questions

Will I practise on a real car?

Yes. All practical sessions at P10X Academy use real vehicles. You will perform interior and exterior car washing, learn professional detailing products, and complete hands-on "one-step" polishing on actual cars at our Bandar Sunway training facility.

What is the difference between the 3-day and 5-day car detailing courses?

The 3-day course is a foundation programme covering the detailing industry, professional wash products, correct interior and exterior washing steps, and an introduction to "one-step" polishing. The 5-day course goes further, adding clay bar treatment and decontamination, deep interior cleaning (seats, dashboard, carpets, stain and odour removal), wax application, protective coating, and a full-vehicle detailing practical: ideal for those wanting a more complete skill set.

Are there any entry requirements or a minimum age?

No prior experience is required, as this course is designed for complete beginners. Participants should be at least 18 years old. All you need is a willingness to learn and to work hands-on with real vehicles.

Can my employer claim this course through HRDC?

Yes. P10X Academy is an HRD Corp registered training provider, so eligible employers can claim the full course fee for their staff through the HRDC levy. Our team can help your employer with the claim submission.

Are tools, materials, and vehicles provided?

Yes. All professional tools, washing and detailing products, consumables, and real training vehicles are provided. You simply turn up ready to learn: there is nothing you need to buy beforehand.

What are the career prospects and realistic earnings for a detailer in Malaysia?

Skilled detailers are in steady demand at studios, dealerships, and service centres, and many graduates go on to start their own businesses. Entry-level detailers in Malaysia typically start in the region of RM1,800–RM3,000 a month, with experienced specialists and business owners earning considerably more.

Where is the training held, and do I receive a certificate?

Training is held at our P10X Academy facility in Bandar Sunway. On completing the assessment you receive a P10X Academy Certificate of Completion, and eligible participants can progress towards SKM (Sijil Kemahiran Malaysia) certification through JPK; our consultants will guide you on the pathway.
