Day 1

Understanding the basic principles of automotive paint construction; differentiating a conventional car wash from professional detailing services; learning about the essential products used in auto detailing.

Day 2

Steps and precautions for professional exterior car washing and detailing.

Day 3

Steps and precautions for professional interior car washing and detailing; clay bar treatment and decontamination processes.

Day 4

Proper cleaning and conditioning of car seats, dashboard, and carpets; effective removal of stains and odours from the vehicle interior.

Day 5

Introduction to basic polishing and wax application; hands-on practical session on "one-step" polishing for an automobile front hood; application of protective coatings for long-term paint protection; hands-on full-vehicle detailing practical.

What is the difference between the 3-day and 5-day car detailing courses?

The 3-day course is a foundation programme covering the detailing industry, professional wash products, correct interior and exterior washing steps, and an introduction to "one-step" polishing. The 5-day course covers the full detailing process, adding clay bar treatment and decontamination, deep interior cleaning (seats, dashboard, carpets, stain and odour removal), wax application, protective coating, and a full-vehicle detailing practical: ideal for those who want a complete, professional-level skill set.

Will I work with professional detailing products?

Yes. You'll train with professional wash and decontamination products, clay bar treatment, interior cleaning and conditioning products, wax, and protective coatings, building full command of the detailing process from wash to finish.

Can I earn a recognised certificate?

Upon completing the assessment on Day 5, you receive a P10X Academy Certificate of Completion. Eligible participants can also proceed to SKM (Sijil Kemahiran Malaysia) assessment through JPK; our consultants will advise you on the full pathway.

Do I need experience, and is there a minimum age?

Some basic familiarity with washing and caring for cars is helpful, but the course builds every skill from the ground up, so committed beginners can take it too. Participants should be at least 18 years old. If you are brand new to detailing, our 3-day course is the ideal starting point before this expert programme.

Can my employer claim this course through HRDC?

Yes. P10X Academy is an HRD Corp registered training provider, so eligible employers can claim the full course fee for their staff through the HRDC levy. Our team can assist your employer with the claim submission.

Are tools, products, and real vehicles provided?

Yes. All professional tools, wash and decontamination products, interior cleaning products, wax, and protective coatings, plus consumables and real training vehicles, are provided. There is nothing you need to purchase in advance.

Where is the training held, and what are the career prospects?

Training is held at our P10X Academy facility in Bandar Sunway. Detailers with a complete skill set command higher pay than entry-level staff: many earn well above the RM3,000-a-month starting range at premium studios, and skilled graduates often go on to run their own detailing businesses.
