Day 1

Overview of the different types of colour wrapping film; installation and maintenance methods for each type of film

Day 2

Edge and small curve handling; correct stretching direction to avoid distortion; overlapping film techniques for durability; troubleshooting common wrapping mistakes; scraping air bubbles: techniques and best practices; knife grip and basic cutting exercises (theory, instructor demonstration, hands-on practical)

Day 3

Front hood and roof installation: steps and precautions; heat gun usage for seamless application; hands-on practice with instructor feedback

Day 4

Full vehicle wrapping strategy and planning; real-world troubleshooting and error correction

Day 5

Full vehicle wrap practical session and assessment; certification assessment and final review

Course questions

Yes. The 5-day colour wrapping course is designed for complete beginners with no prior experience. You will learn everything from material handling to panel application and edge finishing.
No formal qualifications are needed. As long as you are physically able to handle the work, which involves standing, reaching, and precise hand movements, you are welcome. Participants are generally 18 and above.
Yes. P10X Academy is a registered HRDC training provider, so eligible employers can claim the full course fee for their staff through the HRD Corp levy system.
Yes. All tools, heat guns, and premium wrap films from brands such as Quad and 3M are provided, and you practise hands-on on real vehicle panels and vehicles, not just sample boards.
Wrapping is a growing service in Malaysia across detailing shops, tint studios, and fleet-branding businesses. Skilled installers can work in a studio, freelance, or start their own service. Realistic earnings depend on your speed, quality, and whether you are employed or running your own jobs; many installers build up steadily as their portfolio and reputation grow.
On completion you receive a P10X Academy Certificate of Completion. Eligible participants can continue towards national SKM certification through the SKM-PPT/PPA route.
Colour wrapping uses coloured or finished vinyl to change how a vehicle looks. Paint Protection Film (PPF) is a clear, self-healing film applied mainly to protect the original paint. The application skills overlap, but the purpose and materials differ.
