Course questions

What is the difference between the 5-day and 10-day courses?

The 5-day course covers film types, tool use, removing old tint, side window and rear windscreen installation, and a full-vehicle practical: a complete foundation. The 10-day course goes much further, covering both Type A and Type B side windows, front windscreens and rear windscreens, plus a hands-on assignment tinting five full vehicles, giving you far more repetition, speed, and confidence across a wider range of vehicle glass before you finish.

Is prior tinting experience required for the 10-day course?

No prior experience is required. The 10-day course is structured to take you from beginner to advanced professional in a single intensive cohort. However, those with prior tinting experience will benefit even more from the advanced modules.

Is this course HRDC-claimable for employers?

Yes. P10X Academy is a registered HRDC training provider, so eligible employers can claim the full course fee for their staff through the HRD Corp levy system. Contact us and we'll guide you through the eTRIS application process.

What tools and films will I train with?

Everything is provided. You'll practise on real vehicles using professional-grade squeegees and heat guns, with films from P10X Academy's industry partners, including Quad and 3M window films, across both Type A and Type B glass types.

Will I get to work on front windscreens as well as side and rear glass?

Yes. Unlike the 5-day course, the 10-day programme dedicates full days to installing front windscreens on both Type A and Type B vehicles, in addition to side windows and rear windscreens, so you leave with confidence across the complete range of vehicle glass.

What certificate do I receive, and where is training held?

On passing the Day 10 timed practical examination you'll receive a P10X Academy Certificate of Completion, and eligible participants may proceed to SKM-PPT/PPA assessment to earn a nationally recognised Sijil Kemahiran Malaysia. Training takes place at our academy in Bandar Sunway.
